7th Grade

    • Seventh Grade

7th grade presents new challenges and exciting opportunities for our students.  7th graders are invited to join the 8th graders in our House System.  Each House is led by a teacher or administrator and includes a mix of 7th and 8th grade girls and boys.  Each week, the House meets to discuss social justice issues, bullying, life skills, etiquette and interview skills, and more.  After the Houses have completed their activity for the week, they all meet down in the gym or outside for a friendly competition between Houses.  House points are earned during competitions as well as for participation in certain school events and activities.  At the end of each quarter the winning House celebrates with a dress down day in their House color.
    • Meet Mr. McFadden

Mr. McFadden is a native of the Chicago area and grew up in Oak Park.  He attended Fenwick High School and graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor's degree in psychology.  He is currently enrolled in the Loyola University Chicago Opportunities in Catholic Education program which means he gets to live in community with 11 other teachers.  This is his first year at St. Ann and he is thrilled to be joining this community and working with the 7th and 8th grade students.
