Ms. Walsh, a native of
the Chicago area, is a graduate of Fenwick High School and Georgetown
University. At Georgetown, Ms. Walsh was editor in chief of the campus
newspaper, The Hoya, and a White House intern. Upon graduation, she
returned to Chicago and worked as a financial systems analyst for an
international law firm for four years before choosing to become a
teacher. Ms. Walsh is in her fifth year teaching 7th and 8th grade
literature, language arts and social studies, and coaches the girls'
varsity basketball team. She is a member of the Educator Advisory
Council for the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, PA.
