Benny Morten Teacher Feature We are very proud of our highly qualified and highly motivated teachers and staff. We are truly blessed to have our dedicated teachers inspiring Saint Ann students on a daily basis. When asked about her transition into the field of education, our eighth grade teacher, Miss Sarah Walsh, says “Teaching is a vocation. I am called to share my talents and gifts with the Saint Ann Community and push my students to succeed academically and grow spiritually.”
Kindergarten student, Edgar Salgado with Miss Sarah Walsh, 8th grade teacher. Miss Walsh, a graduate of the Georgetown University, received her Master’s of Education from Depaul University. Miss Walsh, in addition to her classroom responsibilities, coaches the Varsity girl’s basketball team. |

First Annual Alumni Dinner Dance
On Friday, May 9, Saint Ann hosted its first annual Alumni Dinner Dance for graduates of Saint Ann High School and Grade School. The first Nazareth Award was presented to the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth with Sr. Michael Marie and Sr. Ann Marie in attendance to accept the award. The Nazareth Award will now be given every year to a distinguished Saint Ann graduate for his/her service to the Church and the community. Thank you once again to our committee members, volunteers, students, and alumni who helped make this night such a success!

God has been good to Saint Ann Catholic School! Over 100 years ago we opened our doors to welcome faith-filled Polish immigrants looking for new opportunities in America. Today, we take great pride in continuing that tradition with our predominantly Latino students. Even as the neighborhood changes, Saint Ann continues to emphasize the core spiritual and academic values it has always provided to the children of the Pilsen community.
