    Born and raised in Berwyn, Mr. Morten is in his fifth year as principal of Saint Ann. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a degree in Finance and a master’s degree in Education. He also completed his M.A. in Educational Administration through the Alliance for Catholic Education’s Leadership Program.

    Development Director and Assistant Principal - Ms. Frankie Beecroft




    Frankie (Mary Frances) Beecroft is in her fourth year at Saint Ann. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2004 and earned her M.Ed. while teaching in Los Angeles through Notre Dame's Alliance for Catholic Education (ACE) Program. During her first year at Saint Ann, Ms. Beecroft completed her certification in English as a New Language. Ms. Beecroft left the classroom to take on responsibilities as the Assistant Principal and Director of Development two years ago.

    Preschool - Mrs. Linda Schaeffer




    Mrs. Schaeffer has lived her whole life in the Chicago area. She received her undergraduate degree from UIC, her MBA degree from Loyola, and after changing careers, her Masters in Teaching, Early Childhood from Concordia University. She has taught preschool and first grade but really enjoys teaching preschool children most. "I love reading and it's great to install that enthusiasm in children when they are young!" she says. She currently lives in Oak Park and her two children, John and Noah, are both in college.

    Preschool Aide - Mrs. Darlene Gomez




    Mrs. Darlene is a graduate of Saint Ann and is in her second year as pre-kindergarten aide. She has also been the school librarian and first grade teacher.

    Preschool - Ms. Michelle Belisle




    Ms. Belisle returned this year to Saint Ann to teach the new preschool addition. She graduated from the University of Dayton with a B.S. in early childhood education. Since then she has participated in ACE ENL program and is currently taking her final course toward completing her Masters in Literacy through UD. She is excited to be back at Saint Ann and is looking forward to a great year!

    PreK Aide - Ms. Erin Rosillo




    Ms. Erin lives in the Pilsen neighborhood. She is currently a student at Northestern Illinois University working on her B.S. in early childhood education. She has been a teacher’s aide for 3 years and has had the pleasure of working alongside the great staff at Saint Ann.

    Kindergarten – Mrs. Wooding




    Mrs. Wooding is a native of Pittsburgh Pennsylvania (Go Steelers!) and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education from Duquesne University in 2006. She then moved to Chicago to begin a two-year teaching commitment with the Inner-City Teaching Corps. Mrs. Wooding is in her 2nd year at St. Ann and made the move from 1st grade to Kindergarten this year. This summer, she also made the switch from Miss Kish to Mrs. Wooding. In the classroom, Miss Kish enjoys sharing her love for reading and writing with her students and getting them excited about learning!

    Kindergarten Aide - Ms. Julia Huicochea




    Ms. Julia has spent 19 years here at Saint Ann as a volunteer, parent, teacher’s aide, and administrative assistant. She currently works as a teacher’s aide in kindergarten. Ms. Julia is grandmother to three current Saint Ann students.

    First Grade - Ms. Meghan Fruth




    Ms. Fruth is in her 2nd year at St. Ann after teaching kindergarten for two years at another Catholic school in Chicago. After seeing so much success with her students’ reading, this year she moved up to first grade with her Kindergarten class. Ms. Fruth graduated from Bradley University in 2004 with a degree in elementary education and received her certification as an Early Childhood Specialist for the Archdiocese of Chicago.

    Second Grade - Ms. Katy Walter

    While a true Texan at heart, Mr. Walter is excited for her move to Chicago. In Texas, she attended Baylor University and majored in marketing and management. She then completed ACE as a 5th grade teacher in Atlanta, GA. She recently returned from 16 months in Santiago, Chile, working on her ENL certification, teaching 5th grade, and practicing Spanish. She is looking forward to 2nd grade this year!

    Third Grade - Ms. Sarah Palandech

    Ms. Palandech was born in Montgomery, Alabama. Her father’s career in the Air Force took her to many fascinating places within and outside of the United States. She graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor’s degree in political science. She has recently completed her master’s degree in education through the Alliance for Catholic Education. For the past two years, Ms. Palandech has been teaching middle school in East Los Angeles, California. She is thrilled to be joining the St. Ann family as the third grade teacher. When not at school, Ms. Palandech enjoys reading, running, spending time with friends and family, and traveling.

    Fourth Grade - Ms. Morgan Sullivan

    Morgan is originally from Glenview, a northern suburb of Chicago, but has spent a lot of time in many different places. She graduated from Marquette University in Milwaukee with a BA in Elementary Education and Spanish. She loves traveling and learning about new places and cultures. This is Morgan's third year at St. Ann teaching 4th grade. When Morgan is not teaching she enjoys running, camping, rock climbing and reading good books. Morgan loves the wonderful sense of community at St. Ann and can't wait for another great year!

    Fifth Grade – Mr. Matthew Voukon




    Matt is a native Chicagoan who has spent the past 22 years in Michigan. He served as a teacher and administrator in the Catholic schools of Mid-Michigan for the past 20 years. Matt has served as an Instructional Coach, physical education teacher, 6th grade, and now 5th grade teacher at Saint Ann.

    Sixth Grade – Ms. Ann Goddeyne




    Ms. G lives in Oak Park but was born in Bay City, Michigan. She has four children, Brenna, Patrick, Griffin, and Michael. She holds a BA in economics from Georgetown, an MBA in finance from the University of Chicago, and teacher certification from Dominican University. When Ann’s third child was born, she started courses toward teaching math in middle school, but was sidetracked into teaching at the college level. Before teaching at Saint Ann, she taught economics, finance, and business policies at Dominican University. Ann is in her fifth year at Saint Ann.

    Seventh Grade – Mr. Tom Doar




    Tom Doar has a wardrobe of khaki pants and button down shirts with dry erase marker stains on them. He acquired this wardrobe over two years teaching in Newark, New Jersey through the Teach for America program. In Newark, he taught with such energy and passion that he often forgot that he had failed to put a cap on the markers he used to teach his lessons. In addition to the dry erased stained clothes, Tom’s wardrobe also consists of way too much Notre Dame paraphernalia, where he attended college, and Chicago Cubs gear, a team he has rooted for his entire life growing up in the Chicagoland area. He is looking very forward to teaching 7th grade and having a great year.

    Eighth Grade - Ms. Sarah Walsh

    Ms. Walsh, a native of the Chicago area, is a graduate of Fenwick High School and Georgetown University. At Georgetown, Ms. Walsh was editor in chief of the campus newspaper, The Hoya, and a White House intern. Upon graduation, she returned to Chicago and worked as a financial systems analyst for an international law firm for four years before choosing to become a teacher. Ms. Walsh is in her fifth year teaching 7th and 8th grade literature, language arts and social studies, and coaches the girls' varsity basketball team. She is a member of the Educator Advisory Council for the National Constitution Center in Philadelphia, PA.

    Secretary - Ms. Debbie Warfield




    Ms. Debbie is a graduate of Saint Ann. She has dedicated many years helping Saint Ann as a volunteer, parishioner, concerned parent, and teacher aide. Ms. Debbie currently is in her third year as Saint Ann’s secretary. When away from Saint Ann, Debbie enjoys spending time with her family.

    Business Manager – Thomas Mendrala




    After teaching high school as a DeLaSalle Christian Brother in the Twin Cities, and at St. Patrick High School and Providence-St. Mel High School in Chicago, Mr. Mendrala taught at Harold Washington Junior College and Gordon High School. In pseudo-retirement, "Mr. Thomas" is our business manager. On weekends he enjoys his role as catechist in the baptism and communion programs at Saint Procopius.

    Physical Education - Ms. Norma Johnson




    Norma Johnson has been a member of the St. Ann family since 2005, teaching physical education to our Preschool-8th grade students through Pre-Fit Inc. She holds her certification in Group Fitness and Instruction from UIC and is currently working on her 2nd degree from Governors State University.

    Spanish – Mrs. Rebecca Morrow-Nye




    Ms. Rebecca comes to St. Ann this year as our Spanish teacher and parent ELL teacher. She earned her teacher certification at Dominican University, and has also studied at University of Illinois at Chicago, Northeastern Illinois University, Loyola University, and the University of Illinois at Urbana. Ms. Rebecca lives in Oak Park with her husband Robert and two cats. She is very excited to be working at St. Ann with the wonderful families, staff, and teachers.

    After School Coordinator – Mrs. Nancy Zetina




    Mrs. Nancy is a Saint Ann parent. Her daughter is the 1st grade. Mrs. Nancy took on the responsibility of our after school coordinator last year and is excited to begin another year with the SAFE program.

    Instructional Coach - Mrs. Susan Murphy Jania




    Ms. Susan has lived her whole life in the Chicago-land area. She and her husband have raised two children, Danielle, a High School Special Education Teacher and Joseph, an Interior Designer. Ms. Susan started as a teacher in Chicago, than became a Principal in Hazel Crest and now she is our Instructional Coach. She currently is in her third year as IC at St. Ann and is loving her job.

    Title I Instructor - Ms. Angie Chagoya




    Ms. Angie was born and raised in Chicago. She graduated from DePaul University and is currently seeking her Master's in Reading and Literacy. This will be Ms. Angie's third year as a Title I Teacher at Saint Ann. She teaches Reading and Math to some of our students from grades K through 8th. She is very excited to be here and is looking forward to another wonderful year.

    Title I Counselor - Ms. Erica Portillo




    Erica Portillo is enjoying her second year as school counselor at St. Ann. She is also excited to be coaching the Girls On Track team. The best part of her job is building relationships with the wonderful students. She earned her Masters Degree in social work from the University of Chicago.

    Building Superintendent – Mr. Victor Cerda




    Mr. Cerda is in his ninth year as Building Superintendent of Saint Ann School. He is an essential part of St. Ann School, and his work is appreciated by all of the teachers, students, and families here at St. Ann.
