About Ms. Mooney

Ms. Mooney is looking forward to teaching at St. Ann and meeting all of the fourth grade students!  She was born and raised in Tampa, Florida and attended the University of Notre Dame.  From Notre Dame, she graduated with a degree in Liberal Studies and a minor in Education, Schooling, and Society.  She is currently in a graduate service program at Loyola University Chicago while earning her Master’s degree in Elementary Education.  Ms. Mooney loves being a part of Catholic Schools and can’t wait to join the St. Ann community.

About Fourth Grade

Fourth grade is an exciting year! Throughout the year, we will be learning all about the different states and regions of the United States. In science, we will be learning about plants, animals, earth and its landforms, and about energy and electricity. In math, students will make a transition from completing worksheets to answering questions from their math textbook. In reading, we will be learning about all of the different types of strategies that help us become good readers. Students are expected to read 30 minutes every night at home. Finally, in writing we will be working to write paragraphs. I am looking forward to having your child in our classroom this year!
