St. Ann School’s Annual Appeal

Friends of St. Ann School,

At this time of year, we feel one emotion in particular: gratitude. During the Advent season, our students are grateful for their teachers, families, and even the upcoming Christmas break. One thing is for certain, our St. Ann School community is grateful for friends like you. Your generosity has made it easy for us to have faith in a strong future for our school.

While half of Pilsen adults have a high school diploma, 90% of St. Ann School alumni graduate high school in four years – and over two-thirds of these St. Ann graduates continue on to higher education. Through a standards-based curriculum, dedicated teachers, and constant reinforcement of Catholic values, we are bridging the educational gap. Such success is only possible with your support.

It all starts with quality pre-school and our youngest Crusaders. St. Ann’s full-day PreK program provides a strong educational foundation for 3 and 4-year olds. Research on PreK programs finds that the sooner children are exposed to concepts like phonics, gross motor skills, and imaginative play, the greater academic success they will have. Your contribution – of any amount – will help ensure that these students can continue to flourish in the St Ann School community, and in life.

Today, you can make a difference by providing tuition assistance for our PreK students. This year, 23 families joined our St. Ann School community through the PreK for All program. Unfortunately, the program suddenly announced that it would cease funding for community-based organizations. Yet we persevere! We will not allow the lack of funding to prevent us from providing a high-quality, Catholic education for our students.

In gratitude,

M. McKenna Corrigan
