St. Ann's Pre-K and Kindergarten Program!

In PreK & Kindergarten, we’ll work on developing each child’s academic and social skills, while encouraging independence. Through engaging, hands-on activities, we hope to instill a lifelong love for learning in each of our students. We can’t wait to see how much our PreK & Kindergarten friends grow and learn this year!

Before watching the videos below, we’ve included a series of FAQs.

What age must a child be to start Pre-Kindergarten?

Students must be 3 years old by September 1 to begin Preschool at St. Ann. Preschool includes 3 & 4 years old, and then at 5 years old students “graduate” to Kindergarten.

Do preschoolers and Kindergarteners receive homework or is all school work done in class?

All school work is completed in class! However, we do encourage parents to read with their child as often as possible, about 30 minutes a day to cultivate a love of reading alongside other learning activities done at home!

What is the tuition for the upcoming school year?

The tuition for Pre-K is $4,150 paid in 10 monthly installments from August-May. We encourage families to register through FACTS earlier in the year, so we can distribute financial aid which is need-based. Financial aid can come from the school itself or one of our partners – Big Shoulders Fund, Archdiocese of Chicago or Empower. We work closely with families to create a monthly payment plan that they feel comfortable with.

Does that include meals?

We provide breakfast and lunch to students. The cost is either full ($1.80 breakfast / $3.25 lunch per day), partial (.30 for breakfast /.40 lunch per day) or free depending on the families income level.

What is the cost for after school care and the time frame it covers?

After school is currently $7 per day. It is available from 3 – 5:30pm. However, that price may increase slightly for next year.

Are preschoolers required to wear uniforms?

For PreK, the uniform is a little more flexible. They are able to wear their gym uniform everyday. They can also wear khakis and the St. Ann polo when they want to! Kindergarteners wear the standard uniform like the rest of the school.
